Designed as a getaway residence for a family of four, the house is located along the Southern end of the Ledang Heights estate in Johor Bahru. The land is partially submerged below road level and slopes towards views of hilly landscapes.

The 2-storey house takes full advantage of the terrain and views and is proposed as a monolithic concrete block to enhance the visual impact of its surroundings. To maintain the openness and visibility to the landscapes, the design takes advantage of the plot’s North-South facing to promote natural ventilation and light within the spaces, allowing the family to connect with their surroundings without the adverse impact of weather.
