Located within Mount Faber Park, the single-storey “black & white” bungalow at 21 Lewin Terrace was built in 1908 and formerly served as the residence of the British Fire Chief during the Colonial era. Characterised by a high hipped roof and expansive verandahs, the bungalow was designed to offer respite from the tropical climate.
The restoration project involved meticulous repair and refurbishment of the façade, roof, windows, and masonry walls. Internally, the spaces were reconfigured to revive the bungalow’s historical layout while accommodating flexible use as an events centre.
